Prince Charles and Al Gore in Tennessee Smackdown

Self-Congratulation Summit Goes Awry

Prince CharlesAl Gore's 191,000 kilowatt hour, 10,000 Sq. Ft. Home in Nashville, TN (GOTC) - Prince Charles recently visited Al Gore at his home in Tennessee to present the former VP with an award recognizing his efforts in fighting Global Warming.

Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill at the meeting when one of the Prince's handlers backed over a tree on the Gore property with his Hummer limosine. Angry that another tree could no longer make a positive contribution to the environment, Mr. Gore went on a tirade, accusing the Prince of having too large a carbon footprint because of his massive entourage, their vehicles, and all the jet fuel used whenever the Prince wants fresh chocolate from Geneva.

Big Al GoreOutraged that he had been challenged on anything resembling hypocrisy, the Prince declared, "I don't really care about all that global warming rot, right? The only reason I'm here is that my mum likes to keep me busy and out of the palace. She claims I'm always loitering about, staring at the throne as if I'm waiting for something." The Prince then chastised Mr. Gore for his appearance, saying, "It looks as if you've eaten about a dozen Big Macs a day for the last year. That can't be good for your carbon foot print...it certainly's not been been good for your butt-print! Plus, my ski trip to Switzerland is now back on!"

The two then began rolling around, wrestling like a couple of school girls, only to be pulled apart by their security personnel, once bother were done laughing.

The Prince leveled charges of hypocrisy against Mr. Gore, noting the large, air conditioned dog house on the property. Mr. Gore responded claiming, "That dog house, which we bought at a discount from Tammy Baker to help her raise bail money, doesn't use as much energy as it looks. It's very well insulated. Besides, Tipper has been more pleased with me due to the success of my movie, so I only sleep in it a night or two a week. Man, after the election it was almost all the time. Fortunately, back then, we were talking ice age, so I didn't care if it was green or not.

Since the meeting, Mr. Gore has purchased stock in McDonald's, in spite of the Prince's hope to abolish the Big Mac. "He hurt my feelings and I promised Tipper I'd fight back from now on when people do that."

At the time of this report, there's no word on whether or not the Gore's will be taking advantage of Tom Heard's carbon offset program.
